Founded by Lothar Zech and Dunja Schuh, Lebendige Stadtgärtnerei is a natural garden made by transforming an industrial wasteland in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It sits directly beside the water tower at Ostkreuz, with a pond and a small café. It holds regular workshops and courses, and offers consultations on perennials, wild herbs and insect hotels. Its planting uses only native perennials and native woody species.
