A name from Louise Michel: La Vieille Chéchette is a cooperative café-bookstore at 2 Rue du Monténégro in Saint-Gilles. It opened in 2010 at the corner of a small square, at the crossroads of Saint-Gilles and Forest. La Vieille Chéchette hosts jam sessions, usually on Thursdays, alongside a regular programme of concerts and events. It is a project of Champ Libre, a social-economy cooperative.
