Since 1230, Ferme de Mont-Saint-Jean stands on the Waterloo battlefield near Brussels, now a brewery, museum, restaurant, and events venue. Given to the Knights Hospitaller of Jerusalem by the Wasseige family in 1219, it acquired its name and a Maltese Cross in 1230. In June 1815, it served as the Duke of Wellington's field hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, treating near 6,000 soldiers. It hosts the Waterloo Friday Live series on the last Friday of each month from January to June.
