Since 1945, Cullercoats Crescent Club has been a club in Whitley Bay, and it was affiliated to the Club & Institute Union in 1947. It sits at 9 Victoria Crescent, directly facing Cullercoats beach and harbour, with an upstairs sea view lounge and a large concert room. It hosts live jazz afternoons every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It also has a sports bar and function rooms for hire, and calls itself "the best venue for live music and entertainment on the Coast".
