A 15th-century medieval oubliette on Rue Galande: Caveau Des Oubliettes is a jazz club in the heart of the Latin Quarter of Paris. Its 12th-century cellar once served as a prison and housed the guillotine, dating back to 1793. Caveau Des Oubliettes re-opened after a change in ownership and renovation. It sits on the corner of Rue Galande and Rue Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre, and hosts regular jam sessions.
